Preparation

Wash the rice: Rinse the basmati rice thoroughly under cold water to remove excess starch.

Add water and spices: Put the washed rice in a saucepan. Add the water, the Nivartana Blue Butterfly Pea Powder and salt. Crack the cardamom pod and add the seeds (or the whole capsule if you want a stronger flavor). Stir well.

Boil: Bring the water to a boil. Once it boils, reduce the heat. When the water is reduced by half, stir the rice again, cover the pot and simmer. In a rice cooker, no monitoring is needed.

Cooking time: Let the rice simmer for about 30 minutes until the water is absorbed and the rice is soft. Add a little water if needed until the rice reaches the desired texture.

Resting time: After cooking, let the rice rest for a few minutes to enhance texture and flavor.

Garnish: Before serving, garnish with roasted cashews, peanuts, and pumpkin seeds.
