Sri Lankan Creamy Dhal Curry made using Nivartana Products

According to Ayurveda, dhal curry offers several benefits:

Ingredients

(Servings: 4)

Dahl:

  • 200 ml water
  • 500 g washed red lentils
  • 1 Tablespoon ceylon curcuma
  • 3 cloves sliced garlic 
  • 3cm Long Ceylon Cinnamon Stick
  • 1/2 Tablespoon Ceylon Curry Powder 
  • 2 small green chillies, chopped (optional)
  • 100 ml coconut milk 
  • Pinch of salt, generous

Method

  1. In a saucepan, over medium heat, add water, Lentils, Ceylon cinnamon stick, curry leaf powder,ceylon curcuma,Ceylon Curry Powder and chilli to taste.
  2. Boil and cook for around 10 mins.
  3. Add water if needed. Lentils need to be soft.
  4. Add coconut milk or cream and salt and stir for a few minutes .
  5. Ready to serve.
